Rajamouli…the name denotes blockbuster hits and success at the box office. There is no doubt in saying that he is the number one director in Tollywood and arguably in entire India for having maintained only a clean slate of hits and no flops. But recently Rajamouli tasted defeat for the first time in his life.
Of course, this happened to him as a producer. Apparently, Rajamouli became the co-producer for the film ‘Andhala Rakshasi’ and while it is not sure what pulled him into this project but his name became the USP for this painfully slow and torturing romantic treat. However, Rajamouli doesn’t seem to be giving it up.
Well, the tough taskmaster has been tweeting here and there about how the collection figures are steady and the film is doing better. But to those who saw the film and got deceived with the Rajamouli brand name, they say that it is beyond Rajamouli’s brand and image to talk about figures and collections and market a film which deserves to be called a perfect dud. Hope he accepts the failure and moves forward.
