Hyderabad : The announcement of the Eamcet (engineering) and Icet counselling schedule has been postponed once again. The Eamcet and Icet admission committees met the AP State Council of Higher Education on Monday to finalise the schedule, but failed.
The “incomprehensive data” supplied by the All India Council for Technical Education regarding the approvals given to engineering, pharmacy, MBA and MCA colleges is said to be the reason behind the delay. The AICTE had merely handed-over bundles of approval letters to the state when a four-member delegation visited New Delhi last week seeking clarity on the number of seats available in these courses. The non - issue of orders pertaining to the fee hike and the exclusion of fee-reimbursement for seats secured under the “spot admissions” category also added to the delay.
